The film made Rs 5.1 crore in its third day. This was an improve of 20 percent from the film’s day two (day 2) amount which was Rs 4.25 crore. The Akshay Kumar-starrer debuted in the market at Rs 2.5 million on the streets of India the day before on Friday. The film is in competition with S Shankar’s vigilance drama Indian 2 (Hindustani 2 in Hindi) which stars Kamal Haasan, as well as the films that are holdovers from the last week – Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt’s action-thriller Kill and from two weeks ago – Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi post-apocalyptic epic Kalki 2898 AD and Kalki 2898 AD.

The film is based on the stories from the personal life of Air Deccan Founder Captain GR Gopinath. The original 2020 film received five National Film Awards, including Best Feature Film and Best actor. The film was directed by late Aruna Bhatia, who was the director of Cape of Good Films, Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment, and Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment. The film also features Radhika Madan Paresh Rawal, as well as Seema Biswas, among others.
In an interview in an interview with PTI, Sudha opened up about the process of adapting her film that was a hit in Hindi. “As a filmmaker, the language doesn’t matter to me. If I get to work in Odisha cinema or in Kannada, I would love to make films in those languages too. In Hindi films, I would love to work with Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Shefali Shah, Tabu, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and work with Paresh Rawal again as he’s a master.”
Akshay is also featured as a character in Khel Khel Mein Sky Force, Singham Again, Jolly LLB 3, Welcome to the Jungle, and Shankara.
