How to restore deleted posts, stories, or reels on Instagram

Have you accidentally deleted a post, story, or reel on Instagram and can’t find it? Don’t worry; you can recover deleted content using Instagram’s ‘Archive’ and ‘Recently Deleted’ features.

Firstly, check the ‘Archive’:

1. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile page.
2. Tap the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) and choose “Archive.”
3. Explore your archived posts and stories. If the content was archived instead of deleted, you can easily unarchive and repost it.

If you haven’t found your content in the Archive, try the ‘Recently Deleted’ folder:

1. In your profile, go to the hamburger menu and tap “Settings.”
2. Select “Account” and then “Recently Deleted.”
3. Here, you’ll find posts and stories deleted within the last 30 days.
4. Choose the content you want to restore and tap “Restore” to bring it back to your profile.

The ‘Recently Deleted’ folder serves as a temporary holding space for deleted content, keeping it for up to 30 days before permanent removal. After this period, recovery is not possible. So, act promptly to restore your content before it’s permanently deleted from the platform.
